JRI 25th Anniversary Celebration with Katherine Hayhoe
February 6, 2024 @ 7:45 pm – 9:15 pm

We are incredibly excited to announce that Dr Katherine Hayhoe will be our speaker at a special online event to celebrate the 25th anniversary of JRI. This will take place on Tuesday 6th February at 7.45pm.
Katharine is an atmospheric scientist whose research focuses on understanding the impacts of climate change on people and the planet. She is the Chief Scientist for The Nature Conservancy and a Horn Distinguished Professor and Endowed Professor of Public Policy and Public Law at Texas Tech University. She has served as a lead author for the Second, Third, and Fourth U.S. National Climate Assessments and her work has resulted in over 125 peer-reviewed papers, abstracts, and other publications. She is the author of the best-selling book ‘Saving Us: A Climate Scientist’s Case for Hope and Healing in a Divided World’, and the World Evangelical Alliance’s Climate Ambassador.
‘Saving Us’ is a brilliant account of the ways in which we can effectively communicate the impacts of the climate crisis and encourage positive action in ways that win people over rather than alienate them. Her talk for us will pick up on some of these themes. This event will be a bit different from our normal webinars, there will be a small charge for tickets which will be available shortly via Eventbrite. However, if you would like to express your interest in attending please register your interest here.
